India made an impressive start on the opening day of the the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship at Apia, Samoa today by bagging 15 medals, comprising 11 gold, 3 silver and a bronze. The Commonwealth Championship is being held for both boys and girls and men and women groups in the Youth, Junior and Senior categories simultaneously.
