Common stand of Centre, Kerala govt on Italian vessel, says Moily

The Union Minister of Corporate Affairs Veerappa Moily today said there is no difference in the stand of the centre and the Kerala government on the Italian vessel, Enrica Lexie, detained in connection with the killing of two fishermen in February. Referring to the affidavit submitted by the Additional Solicitor General in the Supreme Court yesterday, Mr Moily said the Centre's view may not be fully reflected by the Counsel. He said any mistake in this regard will be rectified.

Addressing a press conference in Thrissur he said the union government is of the view that the interest of Kerala should be protected. The Minister did not agree to the charge that that Congress surrendered before the Muslim League by granting one more ministerial berth to that party in the UDF government in Kerala. He said the party has leaders who can effectively tackle such issues.
