Commodity trade at 4 Indo-Bangla border haats allowed<br/>

The government has allowed trade of several commodities such as locally produced vegetables and garments at four border haats between India and Bangladesh. A commerce ministry statement said in New Delhi today that the commodities will be allowed to be traded in the order haats at Baliamari-Kalaichar, Lauwaghar – Balat,East Madugram and Middle Place of Sagaria – Srinagar, and Tarapur-Kamalsagar.The products include fruits, spices, bamboo, bamboo grass, items of cottage industries, agricultural equipment, fruit juice, toiletries, cosmetics and stationary.The list of items may be expanded or modified by mutualconsent, it said.
