Committee of Secretaries reviews power situation in country

A Committee of Secretaries today reviewed the power situation in the country. The Committee was set up by the Prime Minister after top industrialists met him on the 18th of last month. The meeting was presided over by the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Pulok Chatterjee. It was the first meeting of the Committee which reviewed various options to ensure power supply to the corporate world. Our correspondent adds that the meeting is likely to have taken a decision to make minimum fuel supply mandatory by Coal India.
