Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar has said Committee for framing New Education Policy will be announced this week. In an exclusive interview to All India Radio, Mr Javadekar said, government will not interfere with the moderation policy and all the education boards need to take a call on this.<br/><br/>He welcomed Bihar board results saying this initiative of not spiking marks and not giving grace marks are examples of healthy marking practices. He said, other boards should also follow this. The HRD minister also said that new bill on no detention policy is ready to be tabled in Parliament. The passage of the Bill will give rights to the states to either detain or pass a student in class five and eight.<br/><br/>Speaking on UGC and AICTE reforms, HRD minister said that he is in favour of granting more autonomy to Higher Education Institutes who perform well. He said, 20 institutes will be chosen by the ministry soon to be made as world class institutes.
