Committed to peace talks: Palestine

<br/>Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has reiterated his commitment to engage in serious peace process to resolve the Palestinian issue.<br/><br/>The Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina said in a statement today that Abbas told this to the US president Barrack Obama during a telephonic conversation last evening to discuss developments in the light of US president's meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.<br/><br/>During the conversation, President Abbas vowed to continue ongoing Palestinian drive to end the Israeli occupation, which took place in 1967 and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. The spokesman said that President Obama has promised to make every effort to establish an independent Palestinian state living in peace and security alongside Israel.
