In view of the upcoming civic election, Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan has said that the Congress-NCP coalition was committed to make Mumbai a liveable city.Mr. Chavan was speaking to reporters in Mumbai today after releasing the joint manifesto for Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections.Mr. Chavan promised to take corrective action to decongest Mumbai and to make it slum-free. The Congress-NCP manifesto also promises administrative reforms with greater emphasis on e-governance, besides formulation of a five-year plan for city's development.
