Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh today said the government is committed to bringing the guilty in the Delhi gangrape case to justice as soon as possible.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi , he said the best possible medical care is being provided to the victim. Dr Singh said the government shares the anger and anguish expressed over the crime.

Congress President Mrs Sonia Gandhi said no time should be lost in bringing the perpetrators of the barbaric crime to justice. Mrs Gandhi said her only wish is that the girl recovers and comes back to the country and the rapists are swiftly punished.
