The Election Commission has issued a notice to Union Minister and NCP chief Sharad Pawar over his remarks regarding voting twice by wiping ink.
In a letter to Pawar, the Commission said prima facie the statement is violation of the Model Code of Conduct and asked Pawar to explain his stand by tomorrow. BJP leader Kirit Somai had lodged a complaint to the commission in this regard.
At a function in Navi Mumbai, the NCP chief had asked the people to vote two times by wiping ink.
