A draft legislation to set up special commercial courts will be brought for the consideration of the cabinet in its next meeting. This was disclosed by the Law minister M Veerappa Moily while talking to reporters in New Delhi at the conclusion of the two day national consultation with judiciary. The consultation was organised to chalk out strategy to reduce the pendency of cases in courts. The chief justice Mr K G Balakrishnan had strongly advocated for setting up such courts in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata in the first instance. Mr Moily said a bill to rationalise court fees will be brought in the winter session of the Parliament.<br/>Earlier, addressing the valedictory session of the two day national consultation, Finance Minister Mr Pranab Mukherjee said that more investment is needed in judicial system to boost the growth rate. He said a conducive legal atmosphere will encourage more foreign investment into the country creating more jobs and adding to the GDP growth.<br/>AIR correspondent reports that the two day national consultation discussed in detail the roadmap to reduce pendency of cases with all stakeholders .
