Commerce Minister stresses need for enhancing bilateral trade between India- Pakistan

Commerce Minister Anand Sharma has stressed the need for enhancing bilateral trade between India and Pakistan for the betterment of both the nations. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the 4-day 'Lifestyle Pakistan' exhibition in New Delhi today, Mr Sharma said that both nations should ensure that South-Asian region becomes economically robust. He said that Lifestyle Pakistan exhibition is the pivotal step towards the enhancement of trade relations between the two nations. He said that the prime focus of the exhibition is to develop and promote growing trade relations between the two nations by pooling the best resources from both the countries. The minister said this exhibition will pave the way for further trade relations between the two countries and looking forward many such associations in the times to come.AIR correspondent reports that With over 100 brands and 650 bussiness people from Pakistan participating in the first ever 'Lifestyle Pakistan' exhibition, both India and Pakistan are looking forward to enhancing bilateral trade ties through fashion, textiles and food products.The event not only aims to give boost to the bilateral trade relations between the two nations but also aims at giving visitors an opportunity to experience the authentic Pakistani cuisine. According to designers this exhibition will help to eliminate the need to trade through third countries and people will be able to connect directly. During the four-day the exhibition will be showcasing home textiles, furniture, leather good spices and home accessories.
