Indicating more reforms, Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma has asserted that the government will keep taking decisions such as foreign direct investment, FDI in retail in national interest. In an interview with Rajya Sabha TV, Anand Sharma said the government had held enough consultations with stakeholders before opening the retail sector to foreign investment. He said opposition and political posturing by the BJP to FDI in multi-brand retail was on the expected lines as it has a partisan agenda.Mr. Sharma added that for long the opponents were trying to create an atmosphere where it had become difficult for the government to take decisions.
