Commerce & Industry Ministry working to achieve export target of 400 bn USD: Anupriya Patel

Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Anupriya Patel said the Government has taken several steps to make India a leading manufacturing and export hub.
 
She said, the government is committed to protect and promote the domestic industries.
 
In an exclusive interview with All India Radio News, Anupriya Patel said, the Commerce and Industry Ministry is working to achieve export target of 400 US billion dollars as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
 
She said, Directorate General of Foreign Trade is working closely with the States to identify products at districts level which have a huge export potential.
The Minister said, several schemes like Production Linked Incentive and NIRVIK have proved instrumental in boosting the competitiveness of Indian export items in the international markets.
 
She said, India has witnessed record growth in export during the quarter of April-June this year despite the challenges posed by the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic.
