Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal has said that India is at the forefront of promoting sustainable development & building a better ecosystem, and improving the carbon footprint.

He said that the country's efforts in the direction are much more than the world would have ever expected. He expressed hope there will be a significant flow of investments coming to the country.

Briefing media in France, the minister said that business leaders across the world are amazed to see India's transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
 
Mr Goyal said that industrialists from France are keen to invest in India, step up their business and take forward the relationship with the country. He added that the way policies have been changed in India in terms to invest made an impact on France.

Talking of a bright future for the economy, the Minister said that India at present is a large market of 1.4 billion aspirational people, who wish to lead better quality lives and gradually moving toward an exports-led economy.

Mr Goyal added that there is a great potential in further growing partnership with France, both in terms of trade and investments.
