On the occasion of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's Jayanti, colorful programs were organized throughout the day at Netaji Bhawan in Kolkata. Folk artists from Murshidabad and Nadia presented folk songs. Special magazine was also published. Many surviving members of the Azad Hind Fauj were present in the program.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;<br />''Professor Sugata Bose delivered a special lecture organized by the Netaji Research Bureau today. In his Asian thought he said, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose became a symbol of the struggle of the exploited East against the colonialist West. The Professor said, after the establishment of the Azad Hind government in Singapore, Netaji was one of the hosts of a conference of leaders of Asian states including Japan. Mr Bose added that during this time, Subhash Chandra emerged as the liberating sun of the entire South East Asia.</span><br />
