In the second Cricket Test against India in Colombo, Sri Lanka were 140 for 3 in their first innings, at close of play on the second day today. Retiring legend Kumar Sangakkara failed to get a big knock in his swansong Test appearance and fell to spinner Ravichandran Ashwin for 32 after facing 87 deliveries. The iconic batsman was given a guard of honour by the Indians as he walked in to bat when the hosts lost their first wicket with just one run on the board. At stumps, Lahiru Thirimanne on 28 and skipper Angelo Mathews on 19 were at the crease. Earlier, resuming at the overnight score of 319 for 6, India were bowled out for 393, 3 overs after the lunch break. Wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha contributed 56 runs. The scores so far: India – 393 all out. Sri Lanka – 140 for 3.
