Colombo Test: India end day one at 344 for 3

In Cricket, India were 344 for 3 at the close of day one against Sri Lanka in the Colombo Test on Thursday. Cheteshwar Pujara, 128 and Ajinkya Rahane, 103 were on crease. Cheteshwar Pujara became 15th Indian to score 4000 runs in Test Cricket. He did it while scoring his 13th Century in his 50th Test. Rahul Dravid had achieved this feet in his 84th innings, while Sunil Gavaskar and Virendra Sehvag did it in their 81st innings.Earlier, India won the toss and opted to bat. Lokesh Rahul, who returned to the playing eleven replacing Abhinav Mukund, scored a half century. He was run out for 57. Shikhar Dhawan fell for 35 and and Skipper Virat Kohli was out early for 13. Team India is leading the 3-match series, 1-0. They had won the first Test at Galle last week by 304 runs.
