Government of Odisha has allowed schools, colleges and universities both in the public and private sectors to reopen from early this month. While schools will reopen from Friday, colleges and universities will start physical classroom teaching from the next Monday.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''However, while only class 10th and 12th students will attend their schools physically, only final year undergraduate and post graduate students along with M. Phil, PhD and&nbsp; other research scholars will be allowed to avail the benefit of physical classroom teaching in colleges and universities.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The fresh order applies to all the state public universities, government and non government colleges across the state for the remaining part of the current academic year. Along with the physical classrooms, hostels will also be opened up just a day prior to the re-opening of the higher educational institutions, but only for the final year UG, PG, M.Phil and PhD students.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''As per the directives of the Higher Education Department, the colleges and universities will strive to make up for the covid-imposed academic loss of the students by substantially increasing the number of class days in physical mode. Schools have also been asked to conduct at least 100 days of physical classroom teaching before the students sit for their final exams.<br />
