Severe cold wave conditions have affected the normal life in Uttarakhand today. Mercury has dipped once again as higher reaches in the state experienced heavy snowfall while the plains were lashed by intermittent showers in last 24 hours. Many roads have been blocked and dozens of villages have been cut off from the main road network following the snowfall. Meanwhile Icy winds had forced people to remain indoors mostly in the region.
