The cold wave tightened its grip over North India on Tuesday with temperatures remaining below normal in most parts of the region.
Kashmir continued to reel under a cold wave with the mercury plunging by a further four degrees and settling at minus 13.9 degrees Celsius in the famous Gulmarg skiing resort. Kargil town also recorded the season's lowest minimum of minus 23 degrees Celsius.
Leh town, continued to freeze with a minimum temperature of minus 20.6 degrees Celsius.
It was a chilly but pleasant morning for Delhiites as the minimum temperature settled within the normal range and the sun shone bright as the day progressed.
The low was recorded at 7.5 degrees Celsius, up by 1.9 degrees Celsius from Monday's 5.6 degrees.
The maximum temperature in the last 24 hours was recorded at 22.7 degree Celsius, one degree above normal.
