Cold condition is prevailing in Uttar Pradesh for last many days and Nazimabad was coldest place. Nazimabad recorded 4.4 degree Celsius during last twenty four hours. According to met department temperature in Agra division is lower than other parts of state. In Agra last night the lowest temperature was recorded 4.9 degree Celsius which is three degree lower than normal.Meerut recorded 7.9degreecelsisus while In Gorakhpur lowest temperature was 9.3 degree Celsius and Kanpur recorded 6.8 degree Celsius, Allahabad 9.2 and Jhansi 8.1 degree Celsius temperature during last twenty four hours. However the State Met department says that Uttar Pradesh still not reeling in any intense cold wave but the temperature would dip further in next coming day’s .According to Met office the lowest temperature in many western and eastern parts were between 6 to 8 degree Celsius. The cold wind from neighboring Uttarakhand has certainly made western parts of Uttar Pradesh is colder than other. Sky is also clear in most part of state except in early morning hours in some places where mist occurred, the Met office said.In Uttarakhand the spell of dry cold continues, with sky remaining clear through out the day across the state today. Met department predicts that cold conditions may intensify in some areas of the state in next twenty four hours. Cold wave is sweeping Punjab and Haryana for the past few days. With further dip in mercury at many places, it has further intensified.
