Most parts of Odisha is reeling under chilly conditions with daytime temperature plummeting several degrees below normal under the impact of low pressure formed over the south-west Bay of Bengal. The drop in daytime temperature is particularly severe in the western parts of the state with Titlagarh recording the lowest temperature at 16.3 degree Celsius, about 9 degree below the normal temperature on Monday. Bhubaneswar also continues to experience chilled weather condition with incessant rain. The Bhubaneswar met office has predicted the cold conditions to persisit over the next couple of days.
