Cold wave conditions likely to continue during next 2 days in northwest India, parts of West India

<span style="color: #222222;">India Meteorological Department has said that cold wave conditions are likely to continue during the next two days in northwest India and certain parts of West India. Meteorological Department said dry northwesterly winds of about 10-15 km per hour are likely to prevail over plains of north-west India till tomorrow enhancing the adverse impact of cold wave and cold Day conditions.<br />'' <br />'' Cold Wave to Severe Cold Wave conditions very likely to continue to prevail over a few pockets of Punjab, Haryana & Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh tomorrow and very likely to abate thereafter. Cold Wave conditions in a few pockets very likely to continue to prevail over Jammu, Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh today and tomorrow and very likely to abate thereafter. Along with it, dense fog in isolated pockets over Uttarakhand will be witnessed during next two days and over Punjab, and Haryana on December 23 and 24.<br />''<br />''Churu in Rajasthan was the coldest place with minimum temperature at minus 2.4 degrees which is 8.4 degrees below the normal. Leh in North India the minimum temperature was minus 14 degree Celsius, while maximum is also minus two degrees celsius. In Srinagar, the temperature is hovering between minus six and nine degrees.</span>
