Cold wave conditions continue to grip the multiple parts of North India as mercury levels dropped significantly across the region. Dense fog covered the isolated places in eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh, with Moradabad recording a low of 5.3 degrees Celsius in the state. The Met department said, the night temperatures fell below normal in Lucknow and Bareilly too.<br/> '<br/>Cold weather conditions continued in Punjab and Haryana with Adampur becoming the coldest place in both the states. Adampur in Punjab's Jalandhar district recorded a low of 4.1 degrees Celsius. <br/> '<br/>In Jammu and Kashmir, Kargil town experienced the coldest night of the winter so far as the mercury there settled at minus 15.4 degrees Celsius, even as most places in the valley witnessed sub-zero minimum temperature. In the Kashmir valley, chilly weather conditions intensified after recent snowfall. <br/>'<br/>It was a cold day in the national capital with the mercury settling at 9.6 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature was recorded at 23.7 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal. The weatherman has forecast a clear day tomorrow with possibility of shallow fog in few areas during morning hours.
