Cold wave and foggy conditions continue unabated in northern and eastern India. <br/><br/>Delhi experienced a blanket of dense fog today, with the MeT department saying that the visibility was 100 to 300 metres in the morning. <br/><br/>At least 34 domestic and international flights were delayed, while three were cancelled due to low visibility. <br/><br/>A Railway official said, 60 trains were running late, while 18 were rescheduled, and 14 cancelled.<br/><br/>Similar conditions prevailed in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.<br/><br/>In Uttar Pradesh, normal life has been affected due to severe cold and fog. Most of the districts have extended the winter vacation in educational institutions and has ordered closure of the schools till the 7th of this month.<br/><br/>The Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir is also reeling under extreme cold conditions, with the temperature dropping considerably over the past two days. Leh town recorded the minimum temperature of minus 16.5 degrees Celsius. <br/><br/>Power generation through hydro-power projects has come down due to low discharge of water.
