Biting cold conditions continue in Himachal Pradesh despite clear skies and sunshine in most parts, including state capital Shimla. The Meteorological department predicts more snowfall and rain in the next week.<br />''     <br />'' The Shimla MeT Centre said western disturbances are likely to cause light rain and snowfall at isolated places over the state from Monday onwards and its intensity and spread may increase from February 5th to 8th.<br />''    <br />'' The minimum temperature in Shimla was 2.2 degrees Celsius. Major tourist spots Manali (minus 3.8 degrees Celsius), Kufri (minus 2.2 degrees Celsius) and Dalhousie (minus 2.2 degrees Celsius) stayed below freezing point yesterday.<br />''   <br />'' Lahaul and Spiti's Keylong continued to be the coldest place with lowest temperature at minus 14 degrees Celsius, whereas the minimum temperature in another tribal district Kinnaur's Kalpa was minus 7.8 degrees Celsius.<br />''   <br />'' Thick blanket of fog also enveloped several areas of Punjab and Haryana, even as most places shivered under intense cold conditions.<br />''     <br />'' Dense fog was witnessed at many places including Ambala and Karnal where the visibility was less than 50 metre. The heavy fog adversely affected rail, air and road traffic with officials saying some flights and trains were delayed.  <br />
