Most parts of coastal Orissa are experiencing heavy to very heavy rain since Thursday morning paralysing normal life. The low pressure formed over Bay of Bengal has turned into a depression and lay centre about 220 km south-south west of Gopalpur in Orissa. Under the impact of the depression heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur in coastal Orissa and some parts of southern and interior Orissa during next 24 hours. Danger signal No.3 has been hoisted in all the ports of Orissa and fishermen have been warned not to venture in to the rough sea.
