The indigenously built Cost Guard Ship 'ARUSH' was commissioned at Kochi today by Additional Director General Coast Guard Mr Surinder Pal Basra. The fifty meter Fast Patrol Vehicle has a displacement 421 tones and can achieve maximum speed of 33 knots. It is equipped with state of art weaponry and advanced communication and navigational equipment.<br/><br/>It is built and designed by Cochin Shipyard Ltd. Post commissioning, the ship will be based at Porbandar, under the administrative and operational control of the Commander, Coast Guard Region (North West).
