The CBI today filed a status report giving details of its probe in the irregularities in coal block allocations.
The status report has been filed in a sealed envelope. Supreme Court might go through it on Wednessday when a
bench headed by Justice R M Lodha will hear a bunch of PILs on coalgate.CBI has filed 16 FIRs against various companies and all these are rooted in three preliminary enquiries related to coal block allocation-between 2006 and 2009, 1993 and 2004, and projects given under the government dispensation scheme. There are two other preliminary enquiries, which are related to missing files.
