The petition of former prime minister, Manmohan Singh to quash criminal proceedings against him over the alleged illegal favours given to Hindalco group in the allocation of Talabira-II coal block case is likely to be delayed in the Supreme Court.<br/><br/>The matter came up today as senior lawyer Kapil Sibal told the apex court that the matter was listed for hearing on September 21, though a notice had been issued, but the pleading was yet to conclude. Mr Sibal said due to the absence of pleading being completed, the matter cannot be listed for hearing on the due date.<br/><br/>An apex court bench, headed by Chief Justice HL Dattu, directed the deletion of the matter, which was in advanced list for hearing on September 21.
