The Coal Ministry has approved a Master Plan to deal with fire in Jharia and Ranigunj coal mines. The Master Plan will also focus attention on subsidence and rehabilitation in the lease hold areas of
the Bharat Coking Coalfields Limited, BCCL. The Ranigunj Coalfields, RCF, under the Eastern Coalfields Limited, ECL, will also be covered under this Master Plan. Minister of State for Coal Pratik rakashbapu Patil gave this information in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today.
The implementation of the Master Plan is in progress, he said.
