The Cellular Operator Association of India, COAI has said that it will work with government to protect the interest of consumers.

In a statement, COAI Director General Rajan S Mathews said GSM industry body respects the Supreme Court's decision canceling 122 licences in the 2G spectrum allocation scam. He said he always stood by the principle of spectrum pricing via fair market price based auction.

Mr. Mathews, however, said the government should ensure the financial health of the sector, which is critical to the growth of the nation.
