Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, many groups have shown their courage to fight the pandemic collectively staying at home and providing whatever help they can to those frontline warriors.<br />''<br />'' In Manipur, a co-operative society had manufactured  more than 10 thousand face masks and distributed free of cost to the COVID-19 warriors. More than 4,300 workers under the banner of the Renu Handloom and Handicraft Co-Operative Society have toiled  day and night to meet the growing demands of face masks and providing it to the warriors.<br />'' <br />''AIR correspondent reports, the Renu Handloom and Handicraft Co-Operative Society located at Mantripukhri of Imphal West district has proven that it is possible to join the fight against COVID-19 by the available resources and skills and staying at home. The society which operates in a co-operative model has received many accolades and awards at national and international in handloom and handicraft sectors.<br />'' <br />''Now the workers of the society working at different 43 centres across Manipur State have been producing cotton cloths and stitching face masks to provide these mandatory COVID-19 protective gears to those needy people especially frontline workers.<br />'' <br />''The Secretary of the society Arambam Renu said to AIR News that the COVID-19 pandemic could be defeated collectively when everyone joins the fight against it. Since the society is working in the handloom sector, they have started contributing in the fights by making the face masks day and night in huge quantities and distributing it to people free of cost.<br />''<span style="font-style: italic; text-decoration: underline;"> <br />'' </span>We have seen many NGOs and other groups producing COVID-19 related basics protective items and making them available to the people. However, the contribution of the Renu Handloom and Handicraft Co-Operative Society by proving the face masks free of cost at huge quantities is an exceptional and rare case in the State. The pandemic could be defeated as more such selfless contribution is poured in to the efforts of the government from various sections.<br />
