<span style="color: #212529;">Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in a press conference in Gorakhpur today said that 7th December is an important day for the development of eastern Uttar Pradesh as Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate AIIMS and a fertiliser plant in Gorakhpur.<br />''<br />''The Chief Minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of AIIMS and the fertiliser plant in 2016 and both are ready for inauguration within five years.<br />''<br />''Mr. Adityanath said the previous governments were responsible for the backwardness of eastern Uttar Pradesh. He said the fertiliser plant was closed in 1990 and after that no government in Uttar Pradesh paid any heed to it for the next 26 years.<br />''<br />''He said the fertiliser plant will prove instrumental in generating employment opportunities in the region apart from producing fertiliser for the benefit of farmers.<br />''<br />''Mr. Adityanath said the Prime Minister will also inaugurate ICMR's Regional Medical Research Centre at the Gorakhpur Medical College.</span><br />
