<span style="color: #222222;">Amidst the high surge of COVID-19 cases in the last few days, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today claimed that the line of treatment adopted for treating Coronavirus patients in Maharashtra and Mumbai is equivalent to the one applied in other foreign countries. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking on Facebook Live, he indicated that the ongoing lockdown restrictions will go beyond June 30, though the unlock process is being gradually implemented to put the economy back on track. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Thackeray also informed that he had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Abhiyaan so that Maharashtra can continue supply of food grains to the poor at low prices.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray informed that the State may soon look at the possibility of making Remdesivir and Favipiravir, the two medicines for the treatment of Coronavirus be made available free for people of the State. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">According to Thackeray, since Plasma therapy is proving effective in fighting COVID-19, the state government is looking at increasing the number of facilities. Besides, the strategy of 'Chase the Virus' which was first implemented in Mumbai will now be implemented in the rest of the State. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, Mumbai Police has urged the city residents not to move beyond two-km radius of their homes for non essential activities. It said, movement outside this radius for shopping is strictly prohibited. The city Police clarified that movement beyond two kms is permitted only for attending office or medical emergencies. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Furthermore, all vehicles found plying away from their local area without a valid reason will be compulsorily impounded. </span><br />''
