Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has congratulated young player Harshda Garud for winning a gold medal in the World Junior Weightlifting Championships.

Addressing her as 'Maharashtra Kanya', the Chief Minister said, she is a source of pride for all. He said, Harshada has done a great job and added a jewel to the crown of Maharashtra and India. Eighteen-year-old Harshada from Maval in Pune district of Maharashtra won World Junior Weightlifting Championships at Heraklion in Greece.
