Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today directed a probe by a high-level committee into the alleged Combined Pre-Medical Test paper leak which led to cancellation of the examination.

An official statement said the Chief Minister has directed Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan to constitute a high-level committee to probe the paper leak and cancellation of CPMT. An official statement said.

Meanwhile, BJP state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai demanded a CBI probe into the issue.

The Uttar Pradesh government has cancelled the Combined Pre Medical Test, scheduled for Sunday morning as the seals of some packets containing questions papers were found tampered in Ghaziabad.
