CM N. Biren Singh hands over financial assistance to 15 football clubs participating in Manipur State League

In Manipur, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh handed over financial assistance to fifteen football clubs participating in the Manipur State League. This is the first time in the State that financial assistance is being provided to the football clubs participating in the Manipur State League.<br />'' <br />'' In a simple function held at Chief Minister's Secretariat today, Mr Biren handed over three lakh rupees each to these clubs. The Chief Minister said that he had personally experienced how difficult it is to run a sports club and bring it up to the State or National level.<br />'' <br />'' He said that the State Government had started providing refreshment at the rate of 15 rupees per day per player to the trainees of the Regular Coaching Centre (RCC).<br />'' <br />'' He also announced that 15 lakh rupees would be provided to All Manipur Football Association as assistance for the forthcoming football tournament and traveling allowance for players participating in the National events in other States will be hiked from 200 rupees to 500 rupees per player per day.
