CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Fadnavis inspect Navi Mumbai International Airport, says it will be operational by 2024

Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde and his deputy Devendra Fadnavis today undertook an aerial inspection of the under-construction Navi Mumbai International Airport. Speaking to reporters, the Chief Minister said that the Airport will be operational by next year and it would be a gift for the Mumbaikars.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">While Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis said that they inspected the site to get its complete picture from a helicopter. He informed that they also checked the runway and the terminal building. He added they visited the site as part of efforts to speed up the work on the airport further and remove any hurdles. He further added that the work was progressing very fast. Fadnavis said that the airport is going to be connected with Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, the coastal road, and the metro. He added that it will be a multi-model airport with a capacity to serve 90 million passengers.</span><br />
