Madhya Pradesh Assembly witnessed unprecedented pandemonium today. The proceedings of the House began ten minutes late as the main opposition Congress members sat at the door of the chamber of Speaker Ishwar Das Rohani. They were demanding that Mr. Rohani should allow discussion on the issue of corruption, illegal mining and the recent Income Tax raids at the premises of two businessmen considered close to the ruling BJP. The proceedings of the House began under chairmanship of senior BJP MLA Gyan Singh. The Congress members sat at the chamber of the speaker till Question Hour and Mr. Rohani didn’t come out from there. During Zero Hour, Congress members entered in the House and presented a no-confidence motion against Mr. Rohani. The House witnessed unprecedented pandemonium as both the sides, raising slogans against each other came near the podium. Meanwhile marshals took Chairman Gyan Singh under their protection as Congress members marched towards the Chair. Then Mr. Gyan Singh adjourned the proceedings of the House. Sometime later Mr. Kedarnath Shukla chaired the proceedings of the House. Ruling members presented a censure motion against the congress legislative party that was passed by the voice vote. Then the proceedings of the House were adjourned till tomorrow morning. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh has condemned the act of Congress members. He alleged that congress members misbehaved with the Chairman Gyan Singh. On the other hand Congress members said that Mr. Gyan Singh adjourned the House sine die and later proceedings again began in the chairmanship of Kedarnath Shukla. They also claimed that the list of chairmen has not been announced so far then how Mr. Gyan Singh did chair the proceedings.
