With the state's COVID positivity rate coming down to 2 per cent, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today announced ease of the restrictions, allowing restaurants (including in hotels), Cafes, Coffee Shops, fast food outlets, Dhabas and other eating joints, as well as cinemas and gyms to open at 50 per cent capacity beginning tomorrow subject to all their employees having received at least one dose of vaccination. He also announced to allow the gatherings of 50 persons for weddings and cremations. AC buses can also ply with 50 per cent occupancy.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''CM was Chairing a high-level virtual COVID review meeting at Chandigarh today.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The daily night curfew will be in place from 8 pm to 5 am besides weekend curfew on Sunday across the state. However, all essential activities, including those covered under existing 'Exemptions', will remain unaffected, unhindered and exempted from curfew restrictions. CM said, new guidelines will remain in force till June 25.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Captain Amarinder said, bars, Pubs and 'Ahatas' shall, however, continue to remain closed.
