The Chief Minister of Karnataka B S Yeddyurappa and Governor H R Bhardwaj shared a platform today in the Diamond Jubilee celebration of Karnataka Public Service Commission in Bangalore today. Speaking on the sidelines of the function, Governor H R Bharadwaj said that by sending a special report to Government of India, he has discharged his constitutional duties and has nothing personal against Yeddyurappa. During the function too the Governor praised the Chief Minister for his hard work. He noted that the Chief Minister enjoys majority but his recommendations for President Rule in Karnataka are based on constitutional observations made by the Supreme Court. Rejecting media reports that he will resign, the Governor asserted that he will not resign and will perform his duties as a Governor for five years. He rejected allegations of partisan attitude and said he treats everyone equally and acts according to the Constitution. Yeddyurappa during his speech in the function recalled the days when he served as a second division clerk in the government service before his entry into politics. He said that he will devote his attention to give transparent administration. BJP sources say that the Chief Minister will visit Raj Bhavan at 4.00 pm today and seek his approval for Assembly session from June 2 and not make it look like a parade to show his Government Strength.
