At Centurion in South Africa on Tuesday, Perth Scorchers defeated Auckland Aces by 16 runs in the penultimate Group 'A' match of the Champions League Twenty20 cricket tournament. After making 140 for 7 in their twenty overs, the Perth team restricted the Auckland side to 124 for eight in the stipulated overs.The outcome of the match enabled Delhi Daredevils and Titans to qualify for the Semi-finals as the top teams from Group 'A'. Delhi Daredevils lead the table with 10 points, while Titans are second in the standings with 8 points. Both the Auckland and Perth teams have bowed out of the competition as they occupy the third and fourth places in the group. The result of Tuesday night's last Group 'A' match between Delhi Daredevils and Titans at the same venue will now decide the top spot in the Group. Meanwhile, Titans have elected to field after winning the toss against Daredevils. Highveld Lions and Sydney Sixers have already moved into the last four stage from Group 'B'. The first semi-final of the tournament will be played at Durban on October 25 while the second semi-final is scheduled for October 26 at Centurion. Both the matches will begin at 9 P.M.
