CLT20: Chennai Super Kings defeat Perth Scorchers by 13 runs<br/>

In the Champions League Twenty20, Chennai Super Kings produced an all-round effort to defeat Perth Scorchers by 13 runs and brighten their hopes of earning a semifinal berth. At Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore last night, invited to bat, the Super Kings rode on Ravindra Jadeja&apos;s 28-ball unbeaten 44 and Mahendra Singh Dhoni&apos;s 16-ball 35 to post a challenging 155 for six. Ravichandran Ashwin then shone with the ball, returning impressive figures of 3/20 to restrict the Scorchers to 142 for seven in 20 overs. For Scorchers Nathan Coulter-Nile made 30 while Adam Voges scored 27 runs.In another match also at Bangalore, Lahore Lions beat Dolphins by 16 runs. For Lahore Lions, Umar Akmal remained not out at 73. Saad Nasim also contributed significantly to his team&apos;s total of 164 by contributing 43 runs. For Dolphins, R.Frylinck remained not out at 63. Another batsmen J.D.Vandiar scored 29.
