In Himachal Pradesh after getting the clear cut majority in the state assembly election, the Congress has convened a meeting of all the 36 newly elected members in Shimla on Saturday at 5 pm to elect the leader of the Congress Legislative Party.
The State Congress General Secretary Sudhir Sharma has informed that the central observers the AICC General Secretary Janadharan Reddy , the Chief Minister of Delhi Sheela Dixit and the State Incharge for party's affairs, Virender Choudhary will take part at the meeting. Meanwhile, the State Congress President Virbhadra Singh on Friday met the senior Congress leader Vidhya Stocks at her residence in Shimla. Several newly elected legislators met Mr Virbhadra at his residence and held talks on the political situation.
On the other hand, three senior leaders, former Party,s President Kaul Singh Thakur , AICC Secretary Asha Kumari and former Minister G.S Bali have gone to New Delhi to meet the party high command. Meanwhile the outgoing Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal has sent his resignation to the Governor Urmila Singh.
