US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has asked Israel to halt all settlement activity. Speaking in Cairo on Wednesday, she stressed that Washington does not accept the legitimacy of Israeli settlements on Palestinian territory. She said, Washington has a very firm belief that all current and future resettlement activities should be stopped.She made remarks after meetings with Egyptian President and the Foreign Minister. Cairo has been a key US ally in Middle East efforts called the 2003 International Roadmap Plan which asks Israel to halt all settlement activity.
