The Clean-a-thon is being organized at the Miramar Beach tomorrow morning. The event is a collaborative effort by Government of Goa, IFFI, Divyaj Foundation and Bhamla Foundation. Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Singh Thakur and Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant will be flagging off the clean up drive. A host of film personalities including Jackie Shroff, Remo D Souza, AR Rahman, Shekar Kapur, Karan Kundra will also take part. Amruta Fadnavis, chairperson of Divyaj foundation and wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister is among the organizers of the event. Several Ministers of Goa Government, Panchayat Heads and Municipals Heads will also be taking active part in the clean up drive.<br />'' <br />'' The clean-a-thon will continue at multiple places by the volunteers of the Divyaj and Bhamla Foundations in association with volunteers from Government of Goa.<br />'' <br />'' This clean up drive which is being organized on the sidelines of IFFI aims to make the entire coastline of Goa pristine again. Tourism in goa is growing at 11 percent per year and hence the need to keep the beaches of goa clean is also growing. This clean up mission is a reflection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision and mission "Swachch Sagar, Surakshit Sagar".
