In Pakistan, at least thirty five people have been killed and more than sixty others injured in clashes in the Pakistani city of Karachi. The violence followed the shooting of a local politician Raza Haider yesterday in Nazimabad area. An influential figure in the MQM party, Mr. Haider was killed along with his body guard during a funeral ceremony in a Mosque. News of the death sparked unrest in the city and people attacked the cars, restaurants and shops. Police said there were fears that the death toll could rise.
