In Yemen, reports say that fighting erupted around capital Sana as the truce between government and dissident tribal chief Sheikh Sadiq al-Ahmar broke down. Heavy exchanges of fire have been reported between the tribesmen and President Saleh’s loyalist troops around the headquarters of the military police. The government of President Ali Abdullah Saleh accused fighters loyal to Sheikh al-Ahmar of breaking the truce, which was announced on 27th May.
