Civil societies should come forward for socio-economic dvpt of states like Bihar, Jharkhand: Prez

President Pranab Mukherjee today said civil societies should come forward to meet challenges for social and economic development of states like Bihar and Jharkhand. Addressing a seminar in Patna Mr. Mukherjee said eastern region of the country lost its natural advantage due to freight equalization policy.<br/><br/>President exhorted policy makers and strategist to chalk out plan for development of those states which lags behind in terms of social and economic transformation. Mr. Mukherjee said Jharkhand has immense potential with minerals Bihar has abundant fertile land and human resources.<br/> '<br/>President said both states are at cross roads to fulfill aspirations of the people as social and political dynamics are changing in these provinces.
